Lady Liberty & U.S. Flag

In 2011 the U.S. Postal Service plans to issue the Lady Liberty and U.S. Flag se tenant stamps in coil formats. The stamps feature photographs of world-recognized symbols of the United States. These Forever® stamps were first issued on December 1, 2010.

Raimund Linke took the photograph of the replica of Lady Liberty at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The U.S. Flag photograph is by Ron Watts. Art director Terry McCaffrey selected the images on the stamps for their dramatic, evocative impact and their graphic boldness.
