Rodolfo Castro

A 1996 graduate of the Portfolio Center in Atlanta, Georgia, Rodolfo Castro spent ten years creating innovative and award-winning designs for firms in Atlanta and Washington, D.C. Clients included Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, NASCAR, and US Airways. Today, Castro serves as creative director for Catalone Design Co. and develops concepts, strategies, and designs for this Bethesda, Maryland, firm founded by his wife and business partner, Lisa Catalone-Castro. Catalone Design has helped companies and schools develop strong identities by providing consultation and graphic design for view books, brochures, logos, annual reports, magazines, and Web sites. Clients include the Global Fund for Children, the Arca Foundation, the National Aquarium in Baltimore, the National Gallery of Art, the Embassy of France, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and many of the top schools in the Washington metropolitan area. In addition to his work for graphic arts firms, Castro was an adjunct professor of graphic design at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, D.C., and follows his passion for sculptural welding and industrial design. Currently he is developing a line of furniture for children. Castro and his wife co-designed the four Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States stamps issued by the Postal Service in 2009.
