Linda Fountain

Hilton Head Island, SC

A native of Rochester, New York, Linda Fountain studied graphic design at the Rochester Institute of Technology, graduating with a Fine Arts degree in 1977. After fifteen years of award-winning work as an art director at several leading advertising agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, Fountain shifted direction to concentrate on illustration.

Gratifying her passion for design and conceptual freedom, Fountain opened her own studio in 1994. Her bold, sophisticated yet whimsical cut-paper style has attracted numerous clients including Estée Lauder, the Chicago Tribune, and Crane & Co.

Linda Fountain Illustration is located in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where the artist says she finds inspiration in the beauty of nature.

The 2011 Holiday Baubles stamp pane of four different ornament designs is Fountain’s first project for the U.S. Postal Service.
