Albert Slark
Illustrator and artist Albert Slark grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He studied painting and graphic design at the Alberta College of Art, graduating with honors and a major in visual communication in 1990. That same year, he moved to Toronto where he began a career in advertising and book cover illustration. Known for his ability to create art in several genres—romance, sci-fi, fantasy, and young adult—Slark is regularly commissioned by publishing houses such as Harlequin, Zebra, and Scholastic Canada to produce book covers for many of their best-selling authors. A lover of classical drawing and painting, he has studied with private instructors in New York and Toronto.
